Your solar pricing questions, answered.
Do I need both inverter and panels?
If you are needing a new solar system you will need both inteverter and panels. The inverter is a core component of the system, allowing DC (direct current) from the sun — which is captured by the solar panels — to be converted to AC (alternating current). This is the usable energy which is able to power your home. We can assist where either inverter or panels have stopped working/are no longer working properly via our consultation process.
Do you provide me with a fixed quote before starting?
Yes. While STC prices do fluctuate, our quote to you is fixed (pending site inspection). Cardinal Solar does require a site inspection to guarantee a smooth installation with no hidden surprises for you which could incur a fee and waste your time.
This includes inspecting your roof, switchboard, layout, and cable run options. In our experience, buildings can vary significantly and we will do our best to solve challenges within our control.
Are there additional costs that come up after installation?
No. You may want to upgrade your system and add more solar panels. However, the installation we provide is designed to be fit for purpose and will not incur any additional costs after installation.
